Course Selection Is Coming Soon
Important Information for parents regarding Course Selection will be provided Monday,  February 4th at 6pm in the Theater. This session will provide you with an overview of the course selection process and is particularly helpful for parents of our current eighth grade students. The portal for course selection will be open on Tuesday, February 5th until Tuesday, February 12th for BHS students. Students/parents can go in multiple times to the portal to make adjustments to course selections from February 5th through February 12th. Teachers have made course recommendations that will show in the portal. There will be Parent Teacher Conferences on January 24th and February 7th at BHS from 3:00 to 6:30. Please remember to schedule a time slot if you would like to attend.

Lost and Found:
Parents, Students, and Staff, If you have lost something be sure to check the lost and found!
  • If you have lost clothing, coats, bags, books, etc. please look in the bins located by the concession stand in the Gym hall.
  • If you have lost smaller items such as a wallet, keys, calculator or phone stop in the main office and we will assist you.

From the Counseling Department:

Course Selection Is Coming Soon

Counselors will be available (open office style) for a full Red day (Feb. 5) and a full Silver day (Feb. 7th) for students to stop in to have their course selection questions answered.

AP Exam Registration will be open until Wednesday, February 20th. In order to register students must do two things: fill out a google registration form and submit a check to the Counseling Office for the total cost of the exams they register for. Each exam costs $94. The google registration form for these exams can be found on the BHS Counseling page under "BHS Counseling Announcements".





From the Nursing Department:
When calling your child out sick on the attendance line, please include the following: symptoms of influenza-like illness, which is defined as a fever AND cough or sore throat. Fever is a temperature greater than or equal to 100 degree fahrenheit or fever-like symptoms such as chills. Please continue to include any diagnosis and reason for absence.

  • Students can now checkout MAKE kits. Read and learn about a new skill and try it out!
  • The last date to purchase a senior parent send-off ad is February 16th
  • The last date to purchase a yearbook online will be April 16th

Global Coordinator:
Hosting Taiwanese Student Exchange Spring 2019
We are looking for additional families to host a Taiwanese student May 11-May 22, 2019.  The students will attend school and excursions during the week and will spend time with your family after school and on the weekend. Please please email the Global Coordinator, Laura Chenette at chenettel@sau25.net  to confirm your spot.  For more information please see our Taiwanese Exchange website.

IB Coordinator:
Course selection for next year starts Feb. 5. Students wishing to set up a time to review their IB Diploma plans for next year should feel free to stop by Mr. Cannon’s office any time.

In the Scholastic Art and Writing Contest, BHS students won 3 Gold Keys, 9 Silver Keys, and 13 Honorable Mention. For the first time at BHS, an individual student has won 2 Gold Keys. The works are being shown at Pinkerton Academy.

Food and Nutrition Department:
The breakfast program will be featuring a delicious and nutritious Maple Banana Smoothie. It’s loaded with fresh bananas, pear, protein packed Greek yogurt and a touch of real maple syrup. This smoothie is featuring a local producer, Ben’s Sugar Shack in Temple NH. Maple syrup has a nutritional profile to speak about. In addition to breakfast combo meals, the kitchen will be offering a homemade berrylicious blueberry muffin. New this season - In an effort to promote best paperwork processes, including concussion testing requirements for tryouts  - Everyone who signs up on the preseason list prior to the deadline of February 22nd will receive an Email from Mr. Parker notifying each athlete that either an updated physical, ImPACT and/or C3 Logix test is needed.   All paperwork deadlines are before the Athletes and Coaches meeting, so everyone should be in good standing for the meeting. If you do not receive an Email by February 25th . . . Well, then “No news is Good news.”

THANK YOU FROM PTG:   Thanks to everyone that came out to enjoy stories read by our Principals and Assistant Principals at Principal Winter Reading Night and to those that stopped by Barnes and Noble last weekend to listen to story time with staff from our elementary schools, enjoy an amazing art show, and hear the sounds of singers, musicians, and performers from our schools.
