I want to inform you that at the close of the school year June 30, 2019, I plan to retire from my role as Principal at the Bedford High School.
For the past nine years, it has been my pleasure and privilege to serve the students, parents, staff, and community of Bedford High School. I leave with confidence in the school’s leadership and admiration and respect for the entire staff at BHS. In my forty years of service in education, I have never witnessed such dedication and commitment from administrators, teachers, para-professionals and members of the support staff as I have here at BHS. Every day the BHS staff give their very best to facilitate the growth and success of our students.
Over the years, I have also had the opportunity to have worked with many outstanding district leaders and school board members. To a person, their commitment and dedication to ensuring the success of the students of Bedford has been unwavering.
For these reasons, and many more, it has been a difficult decision to make, but I am looking forward to the opportunity to spend more time with my growing family.
I want to thank the community for allowing me to bring my career to a close in a school where so many people care so deeply about kids.
Later today Superintendent Fournier will be sending a letter out to share his transition plan for the Bedford High school principal position.
