BHS News & Opening Day Schedule

Good Afternoon Students and Parents,

The start of school is just around the corner! I imagine for some of you that is great news and others may be wishing for a few more beautiful days of summer to enjoy before the start of school.  I hope each of you and families have had an opportunity to recharge and spend quality time together. On Tuesday, August 28th, we are all looking forward to the yellow buses arriving at BHS!

Below you will find the schedule for the first day of school.  As has been the practice in the district, student schedules will be distributed in the morning Advisory period to those students whose parents have completed the UPDATE of information in INFOSNAP.   Parents, if you have not updated INFOSNAP we really need your help in completing the update of information.

Additionally,  your son or daughter will be sharing their schedules with you for use during the BHS Open House on August 30th, at 6:00pm.  Parents of Seniors are invited to attend a Senior Project information session in the theater at 5:30pm.  Parents with students taking Hybrid or On-line courses are invited to meet with teachers at 5:30pm. Meeting rooms for these courses should be on your student’s schedule.

Dear Parents,

I want to make all BHS parents aware that Superintendent Fournier has posted a letter to the community regarding the status of the independent review of the possible misconduct of employees on the District Website and Facebook page.  It is our hope that the independent investigator will be able to make recommendations to Mr. Fournier prior to the start of school.

I have received several emails from parents who are concerned that we plan to reorganize the counselor caseloads in order to accommodate those requests for a change in counselor.  We do not plan to reorganize caseloads.
There is no need to contact us if you would like your child to stay with their current counselor.  Those parents and students who have requested a change in counselor will be informed of their new assignment next week.

This is, and has been a challenging situation for us all and I appreciate the patience you have had as we work to ensure we are doing what is appropriate.
