2016 BHS Toys for Tots Campaign
Toy collection is underway here at Bedford High School and will continue through December 15th.  Seniors from Betsy Doyle's and Govan Baird's Advisories are in their 4th year collecting toys throughout the school.  Additionally, there are collection boxes located in Room 218, the Library, Counseling Office, Bulldog Corner, the Commons and the Main Entrance.  Our goal is 500 toys this year!
Students and Staff are asked to attached a small slip of paper with their name to each toy donated.  All names will be entered into a prize raffle drawing to be held the Friday December 16th.  Last year we collected nearly 603 toys and with an earlier deadline for collections we are aiming for at least 500 this year!  If every student and staff member brought in just 1 toy each we would triple our goal and have 1500 toys for children and teens in need!
Thank you in advance for your participation in this very worthy charity!

In Sports:
NHIAA Scholar Athletes will be verified with Mrs. Romano next week (before the holiday break).  Scholar athlete recognition is for SENIORS only that maintained a B+ average or higher during their 9, 10, and 11 grade academic years.  And, they have a history of sports participation, including participation of two Varsity sports during their senior year.

These NHIAA scholar athletes will be recognized at the Capitol Center for the Arts (CCA) in February amongst their peers from other NH schools.  Mr. Whitmore is the chaperone of this event and it is his tradition to celebrate them at lunch immediately following the ceremony.  Parents are welcome to attend the recognition ceremony at the CCA.  They are responsible for their own transportation.  The lunch is exclusive to Mr. Whitmore and the scholar athletes.
