This week was a challenge for many of our juniors due to the Smarter Balanced testing. Each junior was scheduled for two and one-half hours of testing for each of the four days. As is typical of our students at BHS, the majority of students gave it their best effort. I would like to thank the junior class for being the first class to take on this new state assessment and give it their best!
The May AP and IB testing schedules has been posted around the building. IB and AP students can check the schedules for date, time and location. The link below will take you to the schedule. A reminder; students are expected to be at school in classes before and after testing.

Just a reminder; please call into the school when your son or daughter will be absent.
Assassins Game: The students have decided to cancel the game of Assassins this year. As is typical with Bedford kids, I have been told the students agreed the proceeds paid to play the game have been slated to go to a specific charity rather than be returned. We have great kids!
Website Changes Coming!
You will notice that our school website will have a different look in May. We are transitioning to a look that will be more appealing and easier to navigate. Stay tuned for more info as the date approaches but wanted to give you the heads up.
Alert Parents of Freshman and Sophomores!
As part of a graduation requirement, all students earn a ½ credit for their digital portfolio. Digital Portfolio is not an actual course that students take, however over the course of the four years, students must meet requirements to earn the ½ credit. Starting with the Sophomore class (class of 2017 and including Freshmen class), all students must have a minimum of 4 uploaded projects in their portfolio each year. If these four uploads are not completed, students must attend summer school. The deadline for these uploads is . These projects are not additional projects completed outside of their classes. Students are asked to pick four projects that they have done over the course of the year that they are most proud of to highlight and verify the technology standards that the state requires. More information about this process can be found online at linkyy.com/bhspow (BHS Portfolio of Work website link can be found under the student tab on BHS website). Support is provided on the website to help guide students and students can also seek assistance from the tech department.
