Dress code reminder.....

Spring has Sprung!

With the early onset of "Spring" weather I am seeking your continued support of our school dress code.  Students have done a good job this year with sticking to the rules, but with the nice weather the "spring outfits" are already beginning to emerge.  As a rule of thumb, all student body parts must be covered.  Belts are an excellent invention to hold the guys pants up.   Shorts and skirts must be long enough to touch cloth when arms and fingers are fully extended.  Strapless shirts/blouses are not permitted.  See through shirts are fashionable but are not allowed as well.

We realize that our third floor does become uncomfortable during prolonged periods of warm weather.  Cooler outfits will make it more bearable. This however, is not a ticket to come to school in what I call "beachwear."  I am asking for your support to ensure that your son or daughter's outfit meets with these reasonable dress standards.

BHS News

Good Afternoon!

The Winter sports season has been an exciting one with teams and individuals earning outstanding recognition among our competing schools.  A full list of team success and Individual honors will be posted on our school website later today.  Check it out!   While I continue to be impressed with the excellent coaching and skill of our athletes, I am more impressed with the manner in which our coaches lead and teach, and how our athletes conduct themselves and commit to their sport!  It is evident our athletic program is about much more than wins and losses.

Monday night is the Winter Athletic Awards Night from 6:30-9:00pm

Principal's Coffee:
On Tuesday March 20th, at 7:00pm in the BHS library the PTG will host a Principal's Coffee.  Dean of Student Services James Brown will discuss the college application and planning process.  We limit the evening to the first fifteen parents who are interested as these meetings are typically designed to be more interactive in nature.    If you are interested please contact Deb Delahanty at

Summer School Info:
We will be posting summer school information and forms on our school website soon. As a follow up to my last email regarding the In-Writing and Personal
Finance classes being offered, I have attached the registration form for those interested in registering for either course. Please remember that Personal Finance
is only for rising juniors and seniors.
